Day 1--travel.

Well, Day 1 has come and gone, and we are all very tired. Most woke up before 6AM on June 9th (Today? Yesterday? Who knows!) to get to the Catholic Student Center for the shuttle, or to ride with a parent or friend to the airport. Because of the early wake up, I think a lot of us were tired around 6pm EST when we boarded, but are currently wide awake as we continue our transatlantic journey.

I'm typing this because there's no chance of sleeping at this point. With  less than 2 1/2 hours left in our flight, I am feeling it's better for me to stay awake, though I know I'll regret it tomorrow/today when we venture to Our Lady of Knock. A nice nap on the bus from Dublin should recharge me. Or so I hope!

Even though we have been in airplanes, airports, and other tight quarters of germs and strangers, we have already begun to acquaint ourselves with one another, which had made the journey special so far! Lots of ages, years in school, relatives, and new friends to be made!

We had a smooth ride from Dulles to Boston, and the layover was made so much more enjoyable when a dear friend from the area, MK, took time out of her day to drive to the airport and hang out with us during our 5 hour layover. We didn't think we would see her till July, so lunching with her was a real treat, and it made the layover a million more times bearable. Thank you, MK!

Thank you all for your continued prayers and well-wishes for our safe travel and enjoyment of what's to come--the Emerald Isle is waiting for us! (As is the nearest place where I can be horizontal...a bed maybe?).

We have made it to IRELAND!
